Dear Garden City Middle School Students and Families,

I hope everyone is enjoying a wonderful summer and finding time to relax, recharge, and spend time with family and friends. As we look ahead to the 2026–2027 school year, we are excited to welcome our students back to Garden City Middle School for another year of learning, growth, and new opportunities.

For our incoming sixth-grade students and families, we are especially excited to welcome you to the Middle School community. We know that the transition from elementary school to middle school is an important milestone, and we want to make the experience as comfortable and exciting as possible.

6th Grade Walk Through/Orientation

Our 6th Grade Walk Through/Orientation will take place on:

Tuesday, August 25, 2026
9:30–11:30 a.m.
Garden City Middle School

The Orientation will provide our incoming sixth graders with an opportunity to become familiar with the building and begin to feel comfortable in their new school environment. It is a wonderful opportunity for students to ask questions and get ready for an exciting first year at the Middle School.

First Day of School

The first day of classes for all students is Tuesday, September 1, 2026.

We are looking forward to seeing our returning seventh- and eighth-grade students and welcoming our newest members of the Garden City Middle School community. Our faculty and staff have been working throughout the summer to prepare for a successful year, and we are excited about the many opportunities that await our students.

As we begin the new school year, we remain committed to providing a school community where every student feels known, supported, challenged, and encouraged to grow. We look forward to working together with our families to make 2026–2027 a successful and memorable year.

Enjoy the remainder of the summer, and we look forward to welcoming everyone back to Garden City Middle School on September 1!
